In Bangladesh, millions of people are deprived of clean water. They drink from rivers, ponds and canals which are full of germs and diseases. Thousands of tube-wells were provided to supply clean water to mass people. In the picture, you can see the students of a primary school enjoying pure water from a tube-well provided by Latifi Hands.
The aim of our sustainable livelihood support is to provide families with income sources to improve their lives in the long term. Latifi Hands initiates a variety of means as a source of income by providing Rikshaws, push-carts, vans, boats, sewing machines, power tillers, fishing nets, interest-free micro-credits and many more.
Through Latifi Hands we offer life-saving medical care to some of the most remote communities in Bangladesh. We run regular medical camps which provide a general medical check, eye care, circumcision, dental and maternity care including medicines. We also provide acute health care when required.
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house like it in Paradise." Latifi hands have been building mosques in deprived areas to facilitate the worshippers to perform their daily prayers without the difficulties they faced before. They also use the mosque building for Islamic educational purposes to build community spirits. Certain examples to mention are Quran classes with Tajweed and hifz classes. We also support multi purpose venues and shelters for broader usages including vocational education and recreation.
